Margaret Faciano

Obituary of Margaret Faciano

Margaret Faciano, 85, Brooklyn, New York

Margaret passed on the morning of April 26th peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family members.

Born in Manhattan on June 29, 1938, she later moved to Brooklyn with her beloved husband, Salvatore, where they became parents to their four sons. Margaret was a strong woman who, when widowed in 1974, remarkably raised her four boys on her own.

Margaret spent the majority of her career at Brooklyn College, most notably serving as an Executive Assistant to the Provost and President. Upon her retirement she became active in the arts and travel. She was a prolific painter and had a particular love for Italy, visiting many times throughout the years.

Her lasting legacy will be the beauty and depth of family ties she created.

Margaret is survived by her sons Anthony, John, Matthew and Andrew and her three daughters-in-law, Heather, Jo Anne and Allison. Her loving grandchildren, Isabella, Nicholas, Mia, Juliana, Marcello and Rocco brought her the utmost joy.
