David Quiles

Obituary of David Quiles

David Quiles was born on October 15, 1977, to Miguel Quiles and Aida Robles in Manhattan, NY.

David grew up in Coney Island, Brooklyn where he enjoyed being a boy scout and practicing jiu jitsu.  He attended Lincoln High School before attending Kingsborough Community College where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration in 1998 and met his future wife, Jasmine Wimberly.  David then attended Baruch College where he earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration (B.B.A) in Accounting in 2001.

In 2002, David & Jasmine welcomed their daughter Jade Amaris Quiles into the world. At that same time, David began his accounting career at HSBC Alternative Fund Services as a Fund Administration Supervisor.  David married his college sweetheart, Jasmine on January 2, 2009, and shortly after, they welcomed their son David Joel Quiles. In 2014, David began his career at Citco Fund Services as an Account Manager for over 10 years.

David, a beloved soul with an infectious smile, brought light, laughter, and harmony to the lives of all who knew him. His journey through life was marked by an extraordinary love for connection, exploration, and the universal language of music.  Music was David ’s heartbeat, a constant companion that filled his days with rhythm and melody. Friends and strangers alike were drawn to his warmth and love of storytelling. A passionate traveler, David embraced the world with open arms and a curious spirit. From the bustling streets of India to the tranquil landscapes of the South of France, he reveled in the beauty of different cultures, foods, and traditions. In his free time, David could be found on the pitch playing soccer, watching Premier League Soccer (Go Liverpool!!), spending hours researching new technology, and spending time with his two beautiful children!

David is survived by his father Miguel Quiles; mother Aida Robles; wife Jasmine Quiles; daughter Jade A. Quiles; son David J. Quiles; Brothers: Miguel Quiles, Michael Quiles, Joel Quiles; Sisters: Elizabeth Haddock, Alejandrina Quiles, Wilma Cornier, Marisol Martinez, Fabiola Vazquez, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and an extended circle of friends who became like family.

David leaves behind countless cherished memories, a legacy of love and kindness, and the reminder to live boldly, connect deeply, and dance to life’s music!

To support Memorial Sloan Kettering’s (MSK) mission of “Ending Cancer for Life “the family asks that donations be made to MSK’s Cycle For Survival, an organization close to David’s heart.
