Obituary of Robert J. Dana

Robert J. Dana, age 85, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023. Mr. Dana was born October 4, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY to the late Francis and the late Helen Dana.

Mr. Dana was a veteran of the United States Navy, having been stationed in Key West, Florida at the conclusion of the Korean War. He went on to serve the NYPD.

Mr. Dana is survived by his devoted wife Eileen (nee O'Sullivan) Dana.

He will be missed by his loving children Robert Francis Dana, Sean Patrick Dana, Thomas Sullivan and Carolyn Ann Dana.

Cherished grandfather of Jacqueline Brattan, Kyle Brattan and John Brattan.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Mr. Dana’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

The memorial visitation for Mr. Dana will be Wednesday, March 15 from 2:00 – 7:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A service will begin at 5:00 PM.
