Obituary of Joe A. Sotomayor

Joe A. Sotomayor, 75, of Brooklyn, NY passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Mr. Sotomayor was born September 9, 1947 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He is the son of the late Juan and the late Iluminada (nee Villanueva) Sotomayor.

He is survived by his devoted wife Teresita (nee Quinones) Sotomayor.

Beloved father to Melissa Waldron (Jamal,) Anthony Sotomayor and Brian Sotomayor (Alyssa.)

Cherished grandfather of Lucas and Kyle Waldron, and Enzo Sotomayor.

Brother to William Sotomayor (Susie,) Edgar Sotomayor, John Arzola and Magdalia Sanchez (Alfonso.)

Uncle to Christina and William Sotomayor, and Joshua, Joanne and Joey Sanchez.

Forever In Our Hearts

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Mr. Sotomayor's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Calling hours will be Sunday, July 30 from 4:00 – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Monday, July 31 at Good Shepherd R.C. Church, 1950 Batchelder Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Burial to immediately follow in Calverton National Cemetery.
