Florence Young was the epitome of what a mother should be: kind but firm, gentle, loving and always ready for a laugh; she was always willing to share a joke and join in the fun. She also had the most beautiful skin-that of a teenager- perhaps that is why she never grew old; she was always young (no pun intended) in appearance and in heart. We all loved her and will miss her. Great memories of a great lady of Marine Parkway! As kids, on hot summer days she’d invite us in to her air conditioning or let everyone in the Young pool to cool off. She was the queen of our block parties. May she RIP and my thoughts are with the entire Young clan. Tom Kushner
