Miss Pat, as we referred to her in P.S.236, was an extremely special person. She took care of me as if I were another son, and it meant the world to me. So much so in fact, when my wife Sheryl and I renewed our vows on our 25th wedding anniversary, over 6 years ago, we asked Pat to officiate. This too, meant the world to us. Miss Pat will truly be missed.

Sending my love and prayers to my cousins Eric, Carl, and Georgie. Your mom was a wonderful Aunt and I’m grateful for the love she shared with me and my family over the years. I’ll always be grateful for the bagels she would bring from the city for us to enjoy in Colorado. She will be missed.

Patricia painted the world in vibrant colors with her humor, love, and spirit that was as intriguing as it was dynamic. Even when being mother to the missteps of Eric, George, Carl, and a thousand childish errors at Schanstra home. She balanced seriousness with jocularity perfectly - a truth-telling warrior wrapped in endless mirth. Her legacy lives on, etched in our hearts and laughter lines. May God cradle her light tightly as we remember her fondness for life and nurture her memory.
